SYSTEM COMMANDS
----------------

A - Auto-message.  This allows you to display and, if allowed, to change the
auto-message seen when users first log on.

B - BBS list.  This will allow you to display other BBS numbers and to add
other systems to the list.

C - Chat Room.  This puts you in the Chat Room.  You can send messages to
other users, page the Sysop, request a private chat with other users and
block messages from other users.  Type a ? to see all of the Chat Room
commands.

D - Default change.  This lets you set a number of user-selectable features,
such as your screen size, ANSI or text menus, password, color selections,
signature macro, screen pauses, and the conferences you want included in a
Newscan.

G - G-files.  This puts you at the main prompt of the "general text" files.
Each Section may have several different text files.  You can select a
section and then read an individual file by selecting it's number.

I - Info About system.  This will display any information about this BBS
that the sysop has included, such as BBS Rules, etc.

L - List Callers.  This displays a list of users who logged on today.

O - Off the system.  This logs you off the BBS.

/O - Log off immediately without confirmation and don't show logoff message.

S - Sysop Chat.  If used during "Sysop Available" hours set up on this
system, this sounds a chime at the BBS to attract the attention of the
Sysop.  During other hours you will be advised the sysop is not available
and you will be given the opportunity to leave feedback to the sysop.

T - File Transfers.  This command sends you to the File Transfer menu.  You
can search, list, upload and download files from that menu.

U - User list.  This displays a list of users of this BBS.

W - Who's On/Chat.  This will give you additional commands to see who is
online or enter the chat room where you can "talk" with other users.

X - eXpert mode.  This will toggle OFF/ON the display of the main menu after
each prompt.  For most efficient operation, you should turn this off.

Y - Your info.  Information about your account on this system is displayed.

. - External Applications.  This command will send you to the Externals menu
where you can select other applications to run.  These are additional items
added by each sysop and the number and type will vary from system to system.

? - This Menu.  This will display the Main Menu.

Control O - This displays this context-sensitive On-line Help display.

Control T - This displays the current time, the time you have been on-line,
and your time remaining before forced logoff.

Spacebar - Abort.  This aborts a text listing.  If using a high speed modem, 
text may continue to be displayed until the modem's buffer is emptied.


MESSAGE COMMANDS

J - Jump to a new message Forum.  You will be shown a list of available
forums and will then enter the forum number you wish to go to.

K - Kill E-Mail/Messages.  This command will allow you to delete E-Mail
you have previously sent.  It will also allow you to delete messages you
have posted in the currently selected conference.  The BBS will first ask
if you want to delete E-Mail or messages.  If you want to delete messages,
it will then show a list of all message numbers you have posted in the 
conference and you can then select the message number to delete.  If you
want to delete E-Mail, the BBS will display each piece of mail you have
send and allow you to read and delete what you want.  If you kill E-Mail
or a message that has a file attached to it, this will delete the file also.

N - Newscan.  The Newscan will scan all conferences and individually show
you each new message.  You can configure your Newscan from the D-efaults
menu to include only the conferences you wish.

P - Post.  This will allow you to post a message in the conference you are
currently in.  You should select the appropriate conference number before
typing P to post.

Q - Quickscan current conference.  This will individually show you all new
messages on the current conference.  It is just like the N-ewscan except
that it will show only the messages on the current conference.

R - Read Message titles on the current conference.  The BBS will first ask
you what message number you want to start from and will then give you the
titles of the next 20 messages from the number entered.  You can then enter
the message number to read or type T for another 20 titles..

Z - Express newscan.  This will read new messages on all selected message
conferencess, but without pausing between messages.  This is useful to quickly
capture all new messages. You could then log off, and call back later with
a reply that has been written off-line.

* - List all conferencess in the current Forum that you have access to.

# - Typing a number will send you to that conference number.

+ or -   The + and - commands will send you to the next higher/lower message
conference in the current Forum.  You can also use the > and < commands to
go to the next higher/lower conference.

//Upload - This command allows you to upload prepared text for insertion into
a message or mail.  You will be presented with the upload commands to transfer
your text.  After uploading, the next message posted or mail sent will have
the message text automatically inserted.

//Qscan - This allows you to reset your new message scan date.  The BBS will
prompt you to enter the month/day/year.  Your new message scan will then
include all messages posted after midnight of the date entered.

//Catchup - This resets your "message pointers" to show all messages as being
read.  After doing this no new messages would show up during a Newscan or
Quickscan.

MAIL COMMANDS

E - E-mail Send command.  You will be able to send mail to other users.
The BBS will ask for the name or number of the person you want to send mail
to and then will ask for the title of the message before putting you in
the text editor to write your message text.  You can access your personal
Address Book by typing a ! and you can add a name to your Address Book by
putting a ! character at the beginning of the name.

F - Feedback.  This enables you to send a letter to the sysop.  If the BBS
has more than one person set up to receive feedback, you can select which
person to send the mail to.

K - Kill E-Mail/Messages.  This command will allow you to delete E-Mail
you have previously sent.  It will also allow you to delete messages you
have posted in the currently selected conference.  The BBS will first ask
if you want to delete E-Mail or messages.  If you want to delete messages,
it will then show a list of all message numbers you have posted in the 
conference and you can select the message number to delete.  If you want
to delete E-Mail, the BBS will display each piece of mail you have sent

M - Mailbox Check.  This lets you read mail addressed to you.

/E - E-mail to more than one user.  This will let you send the same piece
of mail to up to 20 different people.  The BBS will prompt you for the names
or numbers of all the people you wish to send the mail to.
